Itinerary:

Here's our 3rd hike in honor of Cinco de Mayo.  Join us on one of them, two of them, or even all of them if you can!  Wear bright colors (Mexico's colors are dark green, red, and white)  and get into the spirit of the day!  We'll take a break between hikes 3 and 4 to have a Mexican lunch at Tijuana Joe's on Roswell Road (Sandy Springs). Lunch will take place around 2 pm.  Join us after this hike, if you can.

This hike will be an before-lunch leg-stretcher at a park just minutes from Tijuana Joe's on Roswell Road, where the group will have gathered for lunch.  If you would like to join us for lunch before this hike, we'll be meeting there at 2 pm.

We will NOT be parking in the Morgan Falls lot because it tends to be full with parents taking their kids to the playground and the paddle-board rental facility in the main lot.  Instead, turn LEFT at the dead end and drive down the road to the lot by the Morgan Falls Dam and the dog park.

There are bathroom facilities at this location and NO parking fees.

Morgan Falls Park provides some scenic overlooks of  the Bull Sluice Lake, which is a small reservoir of the Chattahoochee River, including a chance to see Gold Branch from the Morgan Falls Dam side of the lake.   After hiking the one-mile trail across the "mountain,"  we'll do a turn-around and hike back over the mountain trail before returning to our cars.

Please be prompt.  The hike starts at 12:30 pm!
