Join us as we hike ALL the CRNRA trails and do some small trash pickup along the way.  We will stay on trail and pick up trash that is close to the trail.  Approximately 6 miles.  Lunch!

Please be flexible about the duration of the hike.  We've done our best to estimate the length and duration of the hike.  All hikes will be evaluated at the end to determine if the rating is correct.  All hikes will be posted for a Tuesday with Thursday being the potential rain date.

HikeCRNRA Challenge - 66 miles, hiking all CRNRA trails

The Chattahoochee National Recreation Area (CRNRA) is a series of park units along 48 mile of the Chattahoochee River in metro Atlanta. Each park unit offers well maintained hiking trails which provide recreational opportunities and access to historic sites along the river. The CRNRA is very popular with hiking enthusiasts, many of whom visit one or multiple park units on a regular basis. Chattahoochee National Park Conservancy (CNPC), the official friends group of the CRNRA, encourages hikers to visit all park units within CRNRA and to experience all 66 miles of designated trails.

CNPC will recognize individuals who hike all designated trails within the entire CRNRA park system. Credit will only be given for trail segments completed after December 1, 2020 and hikers will have a lifetime to complete all trail segments. The National Park Service may modify or reroute trails over time, and all current trails must be hiked whenever a recognition form is submitted. Please note that many of the park units have a network of trails which include alternate routes, loops, and spurs. The layout of trails may therefore require that you repeat specific segments and / or retrace your steps to complete all trails within a park unit.

Park unit trail maps and trail segment tracking forms are available below for downloading. Additionally, a summary completion form is available for you to submit to CNPC once all trail segment hikes have been completed. You can simply take a picture of your completed form and email it or mail it in. Email and mailing addresses are on the completion form provided below.

Individuals who hike all CRNRA trails will receive an annual membership to Chattahoochee National Park Conservancy and will be recognized at our annual CNPC members meeting. We hope you accept the HikeCRNRA challenge to visit all CRNRA park units and explore all that every trail has to offer.
