Itinerary:

I saved the newest and largest (and arguably the best) park for last. This will be the last hike in my Atlanta park series with no other POIs but the park itself. We will also hike the Proctor Creek Greenway that connects to the park to give us a 5.5 to 6 mile hike.

We will meet under the large white and black sculpture (near the restroom facilities) - see pic below.

Please note - there are 2 parking lots off Johnson Road, you will want to go to the one where you have to drive under what looks like a white rib cage tunnel. (The "Birth of Atlanta" parking lot).

DO NOT GPS "Westside Park" - that will probably take you down a dead end with a big mean ol security guard... trust me  :)

It's a huge parking lot (and it's free) so please give yourself plenty of time to get to the park, to find the right parking lot, and then to find our group.

Dogs are welcome.

No hiking gear is needed - just comfy walking shoes.
It's getting hot  - byo water since this is not typical of my other urban hikes where we have places to stop and grab a drink.
