Itinerary:

The flow rates are kinda CRAZY so we're GOING WITH THE FLOW today. This Double Dam training paddle will be from McGinnis Ferry Boat Ramp down to Gerrard Landing in Roswell.

As mentioned this is a Double Dam training paddle so it's not the usual chill, sight-seeing paddle I usually do - it's 15 solid miles at a steady clip in longer boats....it's a workout ;)

Shuttling is an option and we'll need at least 2 people to assist with this...it also depends on number of takers too. Drop the take out car at Gerrard's Landing (free parking) then hustle up to McGinnis Ferry Boat Ramp (also free parking) to be on the water as close to 5:30 p.m. as possible.

FLOW RATES: River Flow Rate - Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area (U.S. National Park Service) (nps.gov)

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

Take out is at Gerrard Landing Park - be prepared for a MUDDY landing or a creative egress from the boats!
8000 Holcomb Bridge Rd, Alpharetta, GA 30022  (weird that it shows an Alpharetta address...yet is a Roswell City Park, LOL)

anyway....be there well before 4:45 p.m. to set shuttle and hurry over to McGF to drop in as soon as possible...it's easily 30 minutes when there's not traffic!

Drop in is at the Boat Ramp - McGinnis Ferry  (parking is free)
8484 McGinnis Ferry Rd, Suwanee, GA 30024

Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $12.00 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Notes:

it may say 5:30pm - but arrive well b4 that to set shuttles...I want to be headed to IF by that time.

Parking is free at both locations
