Here is the blurb from KMNP:

Kennesaw Mountain “22 for ’22 Hiking Challenge"

Kennesaw, GA – Effective starting May 30, 2022. To promote the health and fitness of the community, Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield (NBP) invites the public to participate in the “22 for ’22 Hiking Challenge”. Between Memorial Day (5/30) and Labor Day (9/05), visitors are invited to stretch their legs and hike the 22 miles of Kennesaw Mountain’s trail system as designated by the challenge. The trails included will span all of the park’s major trail loops and include many historic earthworks and key battle locations. A special prize will be awarded to those that complete the challenge! Supplies are limited, and will be given out on a first come, first serve basis. To participate, visitors can pick up a log sheet from the Visitor Center, or contact e-mail us to have one emailed to them. They will use this to keep track of their mileage and have it signed off by a ranger or volunteer. Proof of paid entrance fee will be required for participation. Please contact the park at 770-427-4686 for further information.

A couple are Kolb farm loop, and mountain loop. There will be prizes when finished but are first come first serve. Proof of valid entrance, along with the completed form, must be shown to gain credit. A ranger has to sign off.  The form will be emailed to you from the trip leaders.

We will start the hike at the visitor center.

We will be doing out-n-back and loops throughout the park so we will need to stick together. I will try to mention what sections of the trails we are on.

There is a parking fee. Go to www.recreation.gov/sitepass  to get your pass. It’s a must or get a ticket lol.

This hike will be a D6 thanks to the approval of the Director of Events.

I will be parking at the overflow parking lot; the visitor center gets too busy.

We will be having lunch on the Illinois monument.

The bathrooms don't open until 7:30 am, please plan accordingly.

Also, there is water at Burnt Hickory and out in the far reaches of the Kolb Farm Loop.
