Itinerary:

Located north of Atlanta in Cumming, Georgia, Sawnee Mountain Preserve provides visitors with 963 acres of scenic passive space, hiking trails and an interactive Visitor Center. Please meet at the Bettis Tribble Gap parking lot.

A moderate pace with stops for hydration.


Visitor Center hours: M-F 8:30 AM- 5:00 PM
Preserve hours: S-S 8:00 AM-Dark

We will meet in the Sawnee Mountain Preserve Bettis Tribble Gap parking lot.   From the playground, we'll start on the Ridgeline trail, to the Mountainside trail, take the church trail down and back. Then we'll continue on around the Mountainside trail back to the Ridgeline and down to our cars.   

There are toilets at the Bettis Tribble lot.  

Dogs are not allowed at this park.

Please arrive a few minutes before the start time to check in.  We will begin hiking at 9AM.


Required Items to Bring:

1.5 to 2 liters of water or Gatorade
Good hiking shoes  
Can do attitude!
