Itinerary:

The Appalachain Trail Approach Trail to Springer Mountain is an AOC staple... Let’s go early and beat the heat

We will start at the top of the falls on the AT Approach Trail and make our way over Frosty Mountain to Springer Mountain. We will take a break at the top for lunch and photos and then begin to head down.

After lunch, we will retrace our steps back to our cars. We will Change our route on the way down to make a stop at the Hike Inn lodge.

This is a difficult hike and we will be maintaining an average pace of 2.7 mph (high-moderate pace). Recent, high D5 experience is required to join the fun. Stops will be quick for water and snacks and a longer lunch stop on the top
