Itinerary:

Join me as I explore the trails of Black Rock Mountain State Park.

Cool mountain temperatures and beautiful mountain vistas await us as we explore the trails of this under utilitzed state park.

We will meet at the parking lot for the Tennesse Rock Loop Trailhead. After intros we will start on the 2.2 mile loop trail that offers mountain views from the top of Black Rock Mountain at the 1.5 mile mark. After enjoying the views we will complete the loop and head to the James Edmonds Loop trail. We will do this loop trail in the clockwise direction with a detour to take the lake loop.  This trail offers several vista views including the headliner at the Lookoff Mountain Overlook. Somewhere along the way we will stop for lunch.

Through out this hike I will be maintaining a pace at the high end of moderate (2.7 mph average) with occasional breaks for snacks and high hilarity. This is a low end D5 event, recent D4 experience with the club is necessary to join the fun.
