:: NOT YOUR TYPICAL WEEKDAY D3, 10k the hard way ::

Please, read FULL write up:

Join me as we light up the trails with a quick stepping extreme fitness hike (that we're dubbing a Trail Run for clairification) that will get that heart rate & step count up right out of the gates...This week day D3 trail run will see some nice elevation, as I take you along what I affectionately dub my "training grounds!" We might hit a coulple of the same paths twice but never in the same direction. This is NOT a "check out the scenery" event and there will be sections we RUN..mainly the "UPS", so be prepared for that. Conditions have been a little sloppy, expect some loose terrain - trekking poles are always advised.

This is a FAST  training/fitness hike/trail run is hybrid event that goes along various trails at Vickery Creek (in a top secret special direction) and we might be re-grouping at the top of the steepest climb (to be announced before ascending) if needed, but there are no stops planned. The average will be in the 15 minute mile for sure, but don't be surprised to see some 10, 11, 12 minute + miles. So, if you haven't been on any FAST AOC D3 hikes/trail run recently you're probably not going to like this - saying it's fast is an undestatement, if I see you falling back pretty far within the first mile (or two) I may ask you to try again after a few months...Safety first, respect to the others second.

Rain or Shine...althought I prefer the latter.

Conveniently located in historic Roswell, GA, the historic "Vickery Creek" unit of the Chattahoochee River Nat'l Recreation Area (CRNRA) boasts an amazing variety of shady creekside and ridgetop trails and is one our Club's favorite places for hiking (mine for sure).
