Itinerary:

This hike is rated D4 with significant elevation gain in a short distance, so please have prior AOC D3 or above experience before signing up.

Please join us for a scenic and challenging hike adjacent to Red Top Mountain State Park that packs a punch in just six miles.

Starting at the fishing jetty, we'll hike a combination of the yellow, blue, and red trails featuring views of Allatoona lake and dam as well as a heart-pounding climb to the top of Vineyard Mountain. We'll take a short break about halfway at restrooms along the Etowah River.

Total ascent will be upwards of 2,000 feet. Portions of the trail can be a bit technical, with some rocky/rooty hills and a couple of downed trees to maneuver around.
