Itinerary:

Time to SPRING FORWARD and it's time for some outdoor rock climbing & rappelling.

I've never met a rock I didn't like. There are plenty of highly traveled routes at Allenbrook (well marked with the chalk, blood sweat & tears of climbers before us). This event should not be your first ever outdoor rock climbing event and if it is, please be prepared to be vetted. We'll set up TR and rap down to set up for TR Belays. I don't have any QD's so if you're thinking of Trad Time - BYOQDs. We're out there to TR the "Beginners Route" 5.6 all the way up to the "Happy Hooker" 5.12a. Have your own harness, shoes, chalk & helmet (at minimum). I plan to be there for a while to inspect routes, study them a bit then it's a full on assault on anything that looms over us!
Bring a small cooler with snacks, beverages, energy gels, sushi whatever floats your boat!
Planning on hitting as many routes as possible to include:

Block Direct T,TR 5.11c
Happy Hooker TR 5.12a
Afterburner TR 5.11a
Rumors Roof T,TR 5.10b
Rumors Right TR 5.10b
Levitation TR 5.10a PG13
Groove, The TR 5.8
Chode Route TR 5.7
Beginner's Route TR 5.6

Beginner's Arete TR 5.9

not necessarily in that order...while we're starting early to beat the potential rush - just get there to climb and/or rappel!
Be comfy with top roping, lead climbing, how to belay, basic climbing safety & callouts and basic climbing knot know-how.

Fur babies are allowed as long as they're calm, cool and collected (just like their #2's) - Leash laws observed....pls.

Required Items to Bring:

The more ropes the better, so if you have one let me know at sign up!

As much of your own climbing gear as possible, if I have to tell you what that is - you're probably not gonna want to sign up for this event.

$5 for parking - CRNRA Lot - hide any thing you value!!

HELMET

Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.

Mini cooler with food/snacks & water
Sit pad
Crash pad
Camping chair
Tarp
Tunes

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

227 Atlanta St
Roswell, GA 30075

It's part of the CRNRA - Allenbrook Unit

Park in the main lot ($5 fee if you're not already a yearly pass holder), we'll meet in that lot and walk down and around to the walls/routes and crags.

Or the cheapskate version...meet at Groveway Park (Waller Park) and walk over

Notes:

the last one to the parking lot climbs first - clearing any dirt, snakes & spider webs LOL
