Itinerary:

Let's hike the white trail at Sweetwater Creek State Park. The first half of this loop trail follows Sweetwater Creek, offering beautiful views of the creek and of the New Manchester mill ruins. The trail then turns away from the creek, following Jack's Branch to Jack's Lake, before continuing through a former farming community.

We will hike at a moderate pace of about 2.5-2.8 mph, completing our five mile hike in about two hours.

Please note that Sweetwater Creek requires a $5 Daily Park Pass or an Annual State Park Pass.

Bathrooms are available near the parking lot.

We will meet in the parking lot near the sidewalk to the Interpretive Center.

We will start the hike promptly at 10am, so please arrive early to meet everyone before the hike. Also, please allow extra time if you need to purchase a parking pass or use the bathroom.

Thanks to Joyce for the photo of the mill ruins!
