|Peachtree City is one of the first master-planned communities in the country. When the developers established the town in 1959 they had visions of a series of villages accessible by wooded trails. The wooded trails have become nearly 85 miles of paved recreational paths, frequented by golf carts, bicycles and pedestrians. We will walk along some of these paths from City Hall to the Braelinn Village Shopping Center, have lunch, walk along the Howard Morgan Wetlands and Nature observatory, and return to City Hall by a different route. Our itinerary will take us past an 18th. century cemetery plot, and along the shores of Lake Peachtree.|
Expected hiking time: about 3.5 hours, including half an hour for lunch. Length of hike: about 7 miles.
|How to Get There:|
|Event Directions:||Proceed South on Interstate 85 to Exit 61. At the end of the ramp take a left. Proceed 11 miles on GA75 south. Turn left on GA54 East. After about 0.5 miles you will cross under a bridge. Take the first right and then immediately turn left into the parking lot.|

This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.|
