Ok, all you urbanites (anyone else too)! Drop the coffee and NY Times and grab your Camelback and dog and let’s do some intown hiking. Sweetwater Creek State Park is a gorgeous wilderness just minutes west of Atlanta. A peaceful trail follows a stream to the ruins of a textile mill burned during the Civil War and beyond, rocky bluffs for beautiful views. Join us for some good exercise before you pack-in that turkey and stuffing!

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Lithia Springs, GA 30122; 770.732.5871 10:00 a.m/ Visitor Center entrance I-20 West from Atlanta, Exit #44 at Thornton Road, turn left and go ¼ mile, turn right on Blairs Bridge Road, go 2 miles and turn left on Mount Vernon Road, park is ahead on left.

Notes:

Yes (6’ leash limit) – owner is completely responsible for their dog including water/food. Trip leader reserves the right not to allow dogs on hiking due to aggressiveness, lack of training or health issues.

Will this event occur rain or shine? No hiking in the rain! Contact the leader if you are unsure of the weather.
