Itinerary:

Noah's Ark is so happy with the AOC that they have agreed to give us another tour.  Our previous event at the Ark was a huge success.  AOC members generously donated $1075.00 plus an enormous amount of produce and other food items very much in need.  Let's see if we can beat that this time around.

Please join me for an unforgettable tour of Noah's Ark animal sanctuary.  Noah's Ark is a 250 acre sanctuary that is home to more than 1500 abused, unwanted and neglected animals.  The animals are a mix of exotic and farm animals including birds, wolves, foxes, primates and more and including the world famous Baloo who is an American black bear.  Baloo is the surviving member of the famous BLT (bear, lion and tiger) who arrived at Noah's Ark in 2001 after they were rescued as cubs from an Atlanta home by Atlanta police during a drug raid.  Last time we were there they actually let us feed Baloo a pineapple.  Here is a great you tube video of those 3.

We will be taking the WOW tour (Walk on the Wild Side) with a professional guide who takes us up close and personal with the animals.  The sanctuary is set up like a park with paved pathways that wind through the property.  The pace will be leisurely with a total mileage of about 2 miles.  Be prepared to maybe walk through some tall grass.  Prior approval has been given by the AOC to allow 20 people on this event because we will be splitting into 2 groups.  Per Noah''s Ark guidelines there is a max of 10 people per tour.

Noah's Ark is a non profit organization that relies solely on donations.  The care and feeding for these animals costs the ark over $100K per month.  This tour normally charges $100 per person but they have agreed to give us the tour for a fee of $20 per person which will be collected and paid directly to Noah's Ark.   They take cash, check and credit cards.   All proceeds from the tours go directly to the animal welfare and protection fund.

We will be meeting at the Welcome Center.  Please arrive by 9:15ish to pay entrance fee, sign a release form, bring in all food donations and use the restroom.   The plan is to start the event promptly at 9:30am just in time for feeding.

Below is a link to Noah's Ark. If you click on animals and then click each individual animal it will give you the history of the animal and how they arrived at the ark.
