Itinerary:
This is a fitness hike for intermediate to advanced hikers and for those training for backpacking, mountain climbing, or other strenuous/endurance adventure trips. The hike is approximately 12 miles round trip with an average hiking speed and only a few rest breaks. We will start at the bottom of the falls, and hike up waterfall stairs to the trailhead. From the trailhead, we will hike the AT Approach trail for 4 miles. We will turn onto the Len Foote Trail and hike a mile to Len Foote hike Inn.  We will stop at the Inn for a break and to eat a snack/lunch. We will continue back via the Len Foote route. We should be back in Atlanta early afternoon.

Notes:
1. We will be hiking at an average speed during the hike, so if you are a 'FAST HIKER', this hike might not be the hike for you because of the speed.
2. You are welcome to carry a weighted down backpack if you are training for an adventure or backpacking trip, but it's not a requirement on this hike.
3. The Trip Leader(s) reserve the right to remove anyone from the list who they feel cannot handle this trip.

Please plan on bringing a snack since we will be dropping by the Len Foote Inn for a break. The Inn will sometimess have some bread, dessert or fruit left over from dinner the night before that you can take in exchange for tips for the Inn employees but this is not a guarentee.
