Itinerary:
hello &happy Sunday: somebackground about hte park,
Located between Atlanta and Athens, this popular park features a 1792 log fort built by settlers for protection against Creek and Cherokee Indians. Today, visitors come to Fort Yargo for its wide variety of outdoor recreation and scenery. Mountain bikers and hikers can test their endurance on 18 miles of trails. A 260-acre lake offers a large swimming beach, fishing and boat ramps. A disc golf course is heavily wooded and exceptionally challenging. (Within the park is a group camp designed just for special-needs populations. Operated by the not-for-profit Camp Twin Lakes, Camp Will-A-Way is for children facing serious illnesses and other life challenges.)
We will hiking only 8  easy  miles of the trail around the lake. We should finished hiking around 1 PM. The drive back to P&R is 32 miles

filtered water, nuts & berries, , tennis shoes will do on this hike.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Winder, GA park and ride only From the park & ride we will travel approximately 30 miles up I-85 to GA-316 which becomes GA-316/29. The park is near Winder GA.

Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $24.00 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile.
