easy to moderate 5 miles.

From the parking lot well hike up to the top of the Stone Mountain, and come back down 2/3 of the way and hike on the red blaze trail along the sides of the mountain, and around the Stone Mountain. Well take a snack break on the Indian Island across the covered bridge.(Quite scenic, with lakes, streams, rivers)

Hwy 78 E Stone Mountain, GA 1:45pm Stone Mountain Park. In front of the restrooms at the walk-up trail parking lot near the West Gate entrance. From Sandy Springs MARTA Station, go back on Abernathy Road to GA-400 South, take I-285 East toward spaghetti junction, exit on to Stone Mountain Parkway (Exit 39B), drive approx 10 miles, and exit at Stone Mountain Park Main Entrance, as you enter the park, drive straight until you come to a fork, bear right at the fork, the Parking lot will be right after you pass West gate.

Are Dogs Permitted? No (No dogs allowed on Hike up trail)

Will this event occur rain or shine? Well have to check the weather conditions Stone Mountain.
