Itinerary:
Island Ford is one of the most scenic intown hikes.  The trail offers views of the river, rock outcrops, streams, and a pond.  We will maintain a moderate pace to keep the heart rate up, but stop at a few scenic points along the way.

We'll begin our hike at the Park Headquarters parking lot then continue along the river where we will branch off to hike up onto the ridge, then over to the "new" trail section loop, then back to the river for a snack and a rest on the rocks before returning to our cars. Estimated distance for this hike is about 5-6 miles.

Note: The park charges a $3 parking fee.
