NOTE: This is an easy hike except for the boulder field which is about a 1/4 mile of climbing.

The wilderness was heavily logged in the 1930s-1940s and thus has some very interesting stories about the area.

Trailhead starts behind sign board, we will descend 1.6 miles to Rough Creek where we will ford the creek usually you can rock hop across at this point we will hike up a logging road for 1.5 miles where we will have to cross the Conasauga River about 20 yards wide probably will be shallow. After we cross we will follow blue blaze trail Panther Creek Trail where we will cross the creek Frequently usually shallow until we come to a large boulder field still following the blue blaze markers across the boulders until we get to the bottom of the falls. Where we will have lunch an cool off in the falls. At the top of the falls it is wide it drops and then slides 60-70 feet. Quite a sight.
