Moderate Hike 10 miles

NOTE: My hikes are more leisurely....with plenty of breaks for water and snacks....if you are fast hiker and wants to hike fast, this may not be the hike for you.

Well be hiking from Little Creek camp grounds to Anna Ruby Falls and back. This trail offers a serene walk through dense patches of rhododendron, mountain laurel, hemlock, and ferns. It travels up and over Hickory Nut Ridge and Smith Mountain through impressive hardwood stands and several small mountain brooks and springs.

Required Items to Bring:
Plenty of water, some snacks and big lunch. If you have a hiking shoes its better. Trekking pole if you have it, if not you can find a walking stick on the trail and rain gear incase of unexpected rain.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Helen, GA 30545; 706-878-3983 9:30 am Parking lot at Unicoi State Park Lodge From Park & Ride, go North on GA-400 until it ends, go straight on to 115, follow 115 to Cleveland, turn right on to 75 (youll see Ingles shopping center as you turn), go through Helen, go 1 mile North on GA-17/75 and turn right on GA-356, approx 1.5 miles to Unicoi State Park, follow the sign to lodge (after we re-grouped well drive to trail head).

Are Dogs Permitted? No.

Will this event occur rain or shine? No, not if heavy thunderstorms are forecast.

Cost Includes:Please share gas fare with your driver if you carpool since the gas price is high these days, $6 - $7...not sharing gas fare as been an issue lately.
Parking fee is $3.00 (dont forget to bring cash)
