Itinerary:

Come join us on a classic waterfall hike where we'll mix hiking with fun swimming in the water.

There is a small creek crossing near the beginning of our journey.  Plan on bringing some shoes that you don't mind getting wet.

We'll hike about 4.5 miles to "Three Forks", named after the junction of Holcomb, Overflow and Big Creeks that come together to form the West Fork of the Chattooga River.  Plan on a long, leisurely (at least an hour) break here for lots of swimming and exploring.   There are swimming holes and rock jacuzzis to enjoy.

After we leave Three Forks, we will make our way about 2.5 miles to see a waterfall on Big Creek.  We will take another swimming break and just fully take in the magnificent beauty of this area.  There’s a large rock here for jumping for anyone who dares!

After this last swimming break, it's about a 3 mile hike out to our cars.  The total distance is 10 miles with about 1500 feet of total ascent...so a solid D4, but it should feel a good bit easier because of the rolling terrain and the long breaks along the way.

On the way home, we’ll stop in Clayton to eat at Mama G’s.
