We will hike some trails in that part of Cochran Mill Park that is east of Cochran Mill Parkway and bounded by Bear Creek and Little Bear Creek. We will then cross a bridge to the north bank of Bear Creek and walk a trail inside the Cochran Mill Nature Center. This area is quite pretty. Ruins of an antebellum bridge can be seen on Little Bear Creek, whereas Bear Creek features a couple of dams and some interesting rock formations.

The total walking distance is between 7 and 8 miles but, if time permits, we will also hike two or three miles of a trail on the western part of the park, where deer can often be seen.
