We’ll enjoy the game room, hot tub, and each other’s company. Some of you may enjoy a leisurely nearby hike, go into town, or just relax in the hot tub or play a game of pool. Some other activities include basketball area, 2 canoes, and horse shoes. There’s also a huge outdoor fire pit to enjoy a warm fire and roast marshmallows. The menu includes Friday dinner - spaghetti (with and without meat); Saturday morning - pancakes, eggs, potatoes, fruit, and sausage; Saturday afternoon – sandwiches and chips; Saturday dinner – chicken and beef tacos, rice, and beans; and Sunday morning – eggs, French toast, fruit, and bacon.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Extra clothes and towels, bathing suit, robe (might be nice for getting in and out of the hot tub), camp chair, hiking shoes, camera, beverage of choice and toiletries.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Ellijay, GA 8:00pm at the cabin From I-285/I-75 Intersection - Go north on I-75 to I-575 split. Take I-575 to Ellijays second light. (About 50 minutes.) Pass these communities: Woodstock, Holly Springs, Canton, Jasper. (Also: I-575 actually changes numbers right before Jasper, becoming GA 515.)

****Once to Ellijay*****: When you get to Ellijay drive through your first traffic light (the new Super Wal-Mart) to your second light. Take a left at this light. (There are several good landmarks at this light including: McDonalds, Burger King, KFC, Waffle House, and a couple of gas stations.) When you turn left at the light (Maddox Rd.) go up a hill past a Taco Bell and several small local stores then back down a hill until you come to a stop sign. Go thru this stop sign, across the railroad tracks, around the curve by the river until you get to your first light. Turn left at the light on Ga. 282 (also numbered US76). Cross the bridge, go through the light here, past the Conoco gas station and True Value Hardware. You now drive from Ellijay about 15 minutes to get to the cabin.

After passing the Conoco/True Value Hardware stay on GA 282 west for 11.2 miles. As you drive, look for the mile-markers. (They are only on the left side of the road.) For example, just past the Conoco you will see mile marker #11. Keep driving west until you see mile marker #1, then slow down so you dont miss the left turn. Turn left on Ridgeway Church Road. (If you cross into Murray County then you have gone too far!!)

Take Ridgeway Church Road past the church and the pavement turns into a hard-packed gravel road. Go just a few blocks past the church (0.5 miles) and turn right on Lakeland Drive. After turning right on Lakeland Dr., go 0.8 miles until you get to a Y in the road. Watch your odometer and be sure not to speed past the Y. Turn left onto Hunters Ridge at the Y, the road becomes paved, and there is a gated entrance about 150 feet in front of you with a rock wall indicating that you are now at Lakeland Estates. The gate of the entrance of Lakeland Estates is always closed. You will need the gate code to get in. It is sent to you in your information packet. Once through the gate, stay left (continuing on Hunters Ridge) and go down the hill - slowly!! The speed limit is only 15 mph downhill and around a sharp curve. For Carters Cove Lodge: Go 1 mile, turn right on Lake Forest. Take first right onto White Pine Ridge. Carters Cove is on the left at the end of the road. The address is 200 White Pine Ridge, Ellijay, GA 30542.
