From the parking lot we will descend to the banks of the picturesque Hog Wallow Creek. After a few minutes walk we will reach Oxbo Dr. and Big Creek. We will cross the creek on a bridge and enter the park proper. After walking East and South we will leave the park and walk a short distance to the banks of the Chattahoochee. We will return to the park and walk back to our cars following Big Creek upstream. We will be on bluffs above the creek, and the views can be quite spectacular. Along the way we will cross the creek on a recently constructed covered bridge, and visit the ruins of an old cotton mill and have a close look at the nearby dam. If time permits, we will also visit Founder’s Cemetery, where several of the early settlers of Roswell are buried.
