Itinerary:

We will hike as many of the trails in the Sope Creek area as we can get in prior to dark.  We should be able to cover at least 5 miles at the relatively fast pace that we will maintain.  We will make a brief stop at the paper mill ruins for a few photos. We will also be hiking down one of the quasi-trails along the bank of Sope Creek... there are some nice views of the creek along this trail, but it is a little rugged in points and you should be prepared to do a little bit of rock scrabling to cross over a few of the outcroppings near the creek.

With the exception of a couple brief photo stops and the trail section along Sope Creek, we will maintain a fast pace, so this may not be a good hike for beginners or those who don't care to walk at a brisk pace.

Notes:
A $3 parking fee is required at all CNRA parks unless you have an annual pass.

Dogs are permitted, but CNRA rules require that they be kept on a leash. A portion of this hike will be on a "quasi-trail" along the Sope Creek and will require a little rock hoping and scrambling over a few rock outcroppings, so please make sure your puppy is up for that if you are bringing them.

Please allow yourself sufficient time to arrive, as Atlanta rush hour traffic is usually a factor on these evening hikes.
