Itinerary:
Make this hike the third hike of the day, or join us for this hike alone. Gold Branch is one of the CNRA's best locations and a favorite with AOC members.

This will be a fairly brisk hike with a chance to pause periodically to regroup and take photos.   The terrain is hilly with some short steep ascents, so it provides a good workout.  This route is a borderline D2/D3 but going with D3 on this occasion because of the pace, and because it is still winter and could be a cold day.  But the views of the river and Blue Sluice Lake are always beautiful and never fail to lift spirits.  We will be near the shoreline throughout most of the hike.

Also we are leading two short hikes nearby before this one, so join us on those as well if you would like.

This is a unit of the CNRA, so a $3 parking fee is required (if you don't have an annual pass). Be sure to bring the correct amount in cash and arrive in time to purchase a day permit.

Dogs are permitted but must remain on a leash at all times in accordance with park rules.
