Itinerary:
***** DUE TO RAINy FORECAST, WE ARE STARTING THE EVENT AT 9 AM*****

*** Meet at carpool at 8:30****

Sunrise is at 7:18 am

It will be an early start to a weekend day, but sunrise at the summit of Pine Mountain will be worth it.

The hike will begin at the west loop trailhead. We'll hike counterclock wise to reach the summit of Pine Mountain (1,562 ft.).  This should take no more than a half hour.  We'll watch sunrise before we hike part of the East loop and then on to Coopers Furnace.

We'll hike the other half of the East and West Loops on the way back to the trailhead.

Total hiking is approx. 8 miles. This is a D3 hike, so pace won't be fast, but won't be slow either.  Plan for a minimum of 2.5 mph.
