Itinerary:

This is going to be a little different from your normal bike ride.  We are going to ride to Stone Mountain from the Carter Center and then hike to the summit.  We'll ride 16 miles each way (32 total miles) from the Carter Center to Stone Mountain Park at a 10 to 12 mph modest pace.   We'll ride through Candler Park, Decatur, Avondale Estates, Clarkston and Stone Mountain village and park.  Once we reach Confederate Hall at Stone Mountain Park, we will lock up the bikes and hike a total of around 2 miles to the top of Stone Mountain where we will have lunch.  After lunch, we will hike back down to Confederate Hall, pick up our bikes and head back to the Carter Center.

Note: This ride will have 1 or 2 stops and we will also be traveling on open roads for about 3 miles each way, so we will be staying together as a group during the ride.  All riders are expected to obey all traffic laws while participating.  Also there are rest rooms at Stone Mountain Park, but facilities along the route are limited.
