Are you ready for a personal confidence building and personal challenge adventure? Then join us and your AOC colleagues for a day of High Adventure with Georgia’s Premier Zip Line and High Ropes Challenge Course. The Zip Line and High Ropes Challenge Course at Historic Banning Mills is one of the most unique in the entire United States. We have toured the Banning Mills facilities and they are very cool and it is a first class operation.

Professional Ropes Course Instructors will facilitate our day of adventure. High ropes challenge course activities are typically individual in orientation and are designed to build confidence, positive self esteem, communication and problem solving skills within an individual. All high ropes course activities are attached to trees or poles at heights ranging from 12-40 feet above the ground. Safety on these activities is maintained via an overhead safety cable called a “belay,” which is cable to which the participant is connected via ropes and a harness. Although the perception of risk is high, the actual risk is quite low due to proper construction and safety equipment. We will engage in 4-5 separate high ropes course elements. We may even include a group team building exercise as well.

We will finish our adventure with a 900 foot Zip Line across Snake Creek Gorge. You will ride down a long slack cable on a pulley across the gorge. The co-owner of Historic Banning Mills, a recently retired American Airlines Pilot, assures us that you don’t want to miss the thrill of this Zip Line. He has assured us that it is perhaps the best of its kind in the entire country.
