Itinerary:
Please Note Date & Time Change: Blankets Creek is hosting a race March 31st.  I moved this event to Sunday at 2pm.

Blankets Creek is Mountain Biking specific trail system located in Woodstock, GA with 5 cross-country singletrack trails and a downhill jump trail. The trails are: Mosquito Flats (Beginner), Mosquito Bite (Beginner plus), Dwelling Loop (Intermediate), South Loop (Advanced), Van Michael Trail (Advanced) and Quehl Holler (Downhill Jump).

Several of the trails (Mosquito Bite, Dwelling, South, and Van Michael) alternate direction daily.  By alternating the riding direction, same trail will have a different feel depending on the direction.  Quehl Holler is one-way, down, with a large "wall" at the end and jumps in the middle.  There are also several access trails also.

This will be a beginner ride.  Depending on the group's wishes, we will start off with some instruction in the skills area, several loops on the beginner loops (Mosquito Flats, Mosquito Bite and the access trails), and the Dwelling Loop (optional, it's considered an intermediate trail and would be challanging for some beginners). The Dwelling Loop offers some nice views of Lake Allatoona and for those beginners looking something more challanging, this is the next step.

I plan on keeping the group small so that if anyone has questions or wants coaching on riding, I should be able to provide some answers and help.  If you have any pre-ride questions, please click on the email trip leader link and I will do my best to answer.

Since this is a beginner ride, we will be going at a slower pace with several stops.  Some b
iking experience is recommended, although, not necessarily Mountain Biking experience.
