Itinerary:

Join me to another early morning "silent hike" in the Gold Branch unit of the Chattahoochee National Recreation Area.  We will meet in the parking lot, which is located off Lower Roswell Road.

From the parking lot, we'll enter the woods and shortly make a moderate ascent, which will get our hearts working.  The remainder of the first half of the hike contains relatively gentle undulations.  This will be the silent part.

The folks that are doing the " clean-up the hooch" will be around the area. To show them support, let's bring a plastic bag to pick up the trash we might run into on our trail.

The second half of the hike will include two or three ascents, depending on the trail chosen.  We will have plenty of nice views of the river and Bull Sluice Lake.  We will keep the pace rapid enough to get a good workout.

If we are lucky enough we could see a white swan, blue herons, Mallard ducks, Canadian geese, deer, and a large turtle catching a few ray.

Don't forget your parking pass or your $3 for the fee.

Please note that there are no restrooms at this location.
