Easy

We will walk on the Hahn Woods trails, go upstream to the area surrounding the president’s house and then return to our cars. This walk is about 3 miles long. We will then drive half a mile to the W. D. Thompson Park where we will walk a 1 mile loop trail and have lunch in a covered shelter that will be reserved for the AOC. After lunch we will drive 5 miles to the Clyde Shepherd Nature Preserve, which features a beaver pond and abundant wildlife. Here we will probably walk one or two miles.

NOTE: You may participate in any one or all the walks in this event. If you wish to join the group after the first walk you should contact the trip leader to coordinate.

Required Items to Bring:
Bring plenty of water. Don’t forget your picnic lunch.

Near Emory 9:00 a.m. at Hahn Woods Hahn Woods is part of the Emory University campus. From Clifton Rd. drive north 0.4 miles on Houston Mill Rd. Hahn Woods will be on your left.

Notes:

Are Dogs Permitted? They are allowed in the first two walks, but they should be on leash at all times.

Will this event occur rain or shine? Not if there are thunderstorms or heavy rain.

NOTE: Please be considerate of others. If you sign-up and cannot attend, please e-mail the trip leader, so others that may be on a waiting list may attend.
