Plan to meet at the Busbee Park and Ride off Chastain Rd. 

Car pool to Red Top Mountain State Park.

Hike to the Lake Allatoona Beach (approximately 2.5 miles).

After establishing day camp...

run/jog (or hike) for for one continous hour under the shade around Homestead Trail

after one hour (60 minutes timed), jump in the water and rest on the clay shores of Lake

After drying off in the sun we hike back to our cars at Red Top State Park.

Required Items to Bring:

2 liters water
trail running shoes
bathing suit
pool float
dry clothes
beach ball
plastic bag for wet clothes

Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $6.80 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
