Itinerary:

Wonderful Stress Relief!  If you are a beginner and just getting started on your outdoor program, or an experienced hiker who just wants a peaceful evening stroll this is a great little park and hike.  A walk in Mason Mill Park is a great reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the city, without having to drive to get out of the city.

We will start the hike from from the paved trail head near the tennis courts in Mason Mill Park.  We will walk along several creeks and streams, through some floodplains. past the old Decatur waterworks, through pine and hardwood forests, while we make our way along many trails.  About half of hike walk will be on dirt trails, so bring appropriate footwear with good traction.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

From the intersection of North Druid Hills Rd. and Clairmont Rd. drive 0.3 miles south (i.e. towards downtown) on Clairmont Rd. Turn left on Mc Connell Drive and proceed about 0.1 mile to a stop sign. At the stop sign turn right and continue to follow the road (don't turn into the first park entrance) to the end.  The trail head will be straight ahead and you can park in the parking lot next to the tennis courts.

It's Atlanta... the traffic is bad... please allow yourself sufficient time to arrive ON TIME.
