Itinerary:

Located north of Atlanta in Cumming, Georgia, Sawnee Mountain Preserve is the highest point of Forsyth County.  The preserve consists of 963 acres of scenic passive space, contains several miles of scenic hiking trails, and provides an interactive Visitor Center.  Restrooms and water fountains are available at multiple locations.

We will take the main trail, Indian Seats Trail, which connects with Yucca Trail and Eaglet Trail. The maximum elevation will be 450 feet. At the top of the Indian Seats Trail, we will get to an observation deck that sits at approximately 1680 ft. We can admire the 180 degree view of the North Georgia Mountains. We will descend towards the Visitor Center parking lot, and trace our steps back to the meeting point.

We will meet at Tribble Gap Parking
2500 Bettis-Tribble Gap Rd
Cumming, GA 30040

[This is not the visitor's center parking lot.]

** This is a D2, but we will try to keep a steady pace to make it a workout. **

Dogs are not allowed at this park. No parking fee needed.
