Itinerary:

Hi All!  Need some green in your life?  The georgeous, constantly green bamboo forest of the East Palisades just turns up its nose and ignores old man winter.  Of all my time in our beautiful city, I've only hiked this part a few times.  So, technically, this is an exploratory.  Hope no one gets lost! ; )   We'll just walk around and check it all out for a while.

Thank you Scott and Laura for use of your event descrition below!

East Palisades is one of the most beautiful of all the CNRA units.   We will hike about five miles of the trails in this section of the Chattahoochee NRA including sections along the river as well as a few steep, rugged areas.  We will be hiking at a fairly brisk pace, but we want to converse at the same time. Depending on our route, we may even be able to see the cave! It's a sight to behold.  And the bamboo forest never fails to please.

Please remember to bring $3 cash for the National Park Service parking fee, unless you have a Chattahoochee NRA annual pass.

We're leaving at 10:00am sharp. Please arrive a few minutes before to check in. If you arrive late you'll have to catch the group.
