Note: This is a D3 hike, meaning more "ups and downs" and some (easy) scrambling*). Hiking poles are recommended.

*) easy scrambling — generally, just off-trail hiking with minimal  exposure (if at all) and perhaps a handhold or two.

Come and join me on the trails at Whitewater Creek (East Palisades) - Unit of the Chattahoochee NRA. The East Palisades is surrounded by some of the Georgia's wealthiest homes. We meet at the entrance "Whitewater Trail" and then hike along the shore and "over the hills and far away" until the Overlook. We will take some lesser frequented side trails, maybe stop at the "cave".  From there to the "The Devil's Race Course Shoals", which were named by early river boatmen because the shoals were the "devil" to navigate, continuing to the only "Bamboo Forest" in Atlanta ... and then back.
