Itinerary:

Let's paddle on the beautiful Stone Mountain Park Lake.  Stone Mountain park is one of Atlanta's premier destinations housing many fun and exicting activites. We will see the park from a different point of view for a change, the Lake! If we are lucky we may see fellow AOCer's taking on the infamous Cherokee Trail.

Our trip will take us around most of the lakes shoreline, under the covered bridge, past the Golf Course and Campground then back to the main boat slip. We will be stopping for lunch approximately half way through the paddle.

You are required to bring your own boat for this event. Hardshell Kayaks and Canoes are required. This is a 6.5 mile paddle so please ensure you can manage this distance comfortably especially if the wind picks up.  You must be able to swim - This is a Stone Mountain requirement for all persons in a canoe or kayak.

This event will be cancelled if there is a greater than 20% chance of rain.

There is an $10 parking fee to enter the park; however, free public parking is available in Stone Mountain Village. A yearly pass can be purchased for $35.
