-----RESCHEDLED DUE TO WEATHER-----

Hey - it's Monday (well, Tuesday) - let's celebrate!  Skip the gym and come and enjoy a "OGIM!" (Oh Gosh It's Monday!) hike at Medlock Bridge!  This is rated a D1.  We won't be moving too fast, but we'll keep a steady pace.

The entrance to the parking lot is off of GA 141 where it crosses the river.  See Directions below.  As always, please remove all valuables visible in your vehicles.

The trail we will follow starts near the boat launch.  We will head south walking along the river.  There is a short bridge we'll cross then climb up a some steps and continue on the trail.  At this point we'll be on a bluff overlooking the 'hooche.  The trail continues for a short distance, turns slightly towards the river, and ends.

We will then back-track and on the way back turn left onto another trail that will take us away from the river and ascend slightly up into the woods.  Here, there's a good chance to see some deer.

We'll loop around and eventually connect back up with the trail we walked in on and head back to the parking lot.

In general, the trails are flat with some relatively easy uphill climbs, nothing with over a 75 foot elevation gain.  This is a good hike for beginners or anyone who wants to get out and enjoy a walk in the woods.

Cameras are encouraged.
