Itinerary:

We'll start this hike at noon, because I have a morning appointment - - but I hate to pass up a beautiful day without a hike - - and the AOC Social is tonight!  (I hope you are attending ~ It's not too  late to sign up!)

The scenery along the trails should be getting mighty pretty with spring settling in.  We'll keep a moderately fast pace as we hike the trails through Sope Creek.  We'll go as far as we can in the two alloted hours, taking breaks when needed to keep the group together and to snap a picture or two.  :-)

The Sope Creek parking lot is off of Paper Mill Road, just a little past the bridge if you're coming from Johnson Ferry Road.  If you're coming from I-75, it's less than a mile past Sope Creek Elementary School - - also on Paper Mill Road. It is a more secluded entrance to the Cochran Shoals area of the Chattahoochee NRA, and easy to miss as you wind through the heavily wooded residential area.

Please remember to bring $3 cash for the National Park Service parking fee, unless you have a Chattahoochee NRA annual pass.

We'll limit the number of people with dogs on this hike to 3, so if you see three people already registered with dogs, please do not bring yours. If you do bring your dog(s), please keep in mind that the Chattahoochee NRA requires that owners keep their dogs on a leash and clean up after their pets on the trails.
