Itinerary:
From the parking lot we will walk 0.7 miles to Confederate Hall inside the park. From there we will climb Stone Mountain (water available at the summit) and descend to Cherokee trail, a total of about 2 miles. We will walk the Cherokee trail counterclockwise. After approximately 2 miles on the Cherokee trail we will take a trail that runs along the north shore of Stone Mountain Lake for about 1.3 miles to the Marriott Evergreen Hotel. We will walk back to our cars along Stonewall Jackson Drive, the Songbird Habitat and Trail, and Robert E. Lee Boulevard. The total lenght of the hike is about 8 miles.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Proceed East on US 78 (Stone Mountain Freeway). Merge onto GA 10 West via Exit 5. Proceed 0.5 miles on GA 10 to the first exit. At the end of the ramp turn left. Drive a mile or so, past a gas station and a funeral parlor (both on your right). The parking lot will be on your left, about 0.1 miles past City Hall (which will be on your right).
