Itinerary:

We will walk parts of the White, Red and Blue loops and do a couple of miles of cross-country. Total walking time: about 3.5 hours. We will eat lunch on the trail.

Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $17.20 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Notes:

Pickett's Mill Battlefield State Historic Site is one of the best preserved Civil War battlefields in the nation. The terrain today closely resembles the dense woods described in 1864. The site contains a steep ravine, Pickett's Mill Creek, the mill ruins, and several miles of well- marked hiking trails.
