Itinerary:

It fell back. The clock fell back so it's getting dark early. Don't let it put a damper on your winter. Come try biking at night. This is a beginners ride for those new to biking at night and it's set up so you can try it out and see if you like it. It's definiltely a very different and very fun experience. Sunset is 5:43 so we'll bike through the sunset in to the darkness.

We will stay on Mosquito Flats, Mosquito Bite and Mosquito Flats extension. The trails are pretty flat and we'll just ride around so everyone can see what it is all about. Depending on the pace of the group, we will do between 5 and 7 miles at a moderate pace. You will need at least a small light mounted to your bike. You can get by super cheap and use something like this with an existing flashlight or they sell a cheap light kit at Target or WalMart for $10 to $15. You don't anything extremely high powered because a.) Charles and I have lights that can be seen from space and we'll be there and b.) you want to make sure you like night riding before investing in more expensive lights and c.) the flashlight attachment will work fine on these moderate trails as long as you tighten it properly.

*If you are a novice and completely new to mountain biking these rides are not for you, even if you are a beginner you must have some experience riding mountain bike trails.

Please make sure your bike is ready at least the day before our ride. This includes mounting of your light.

MANDATORY $1 donation to SORBA use the trails. There is a box at the trailhead you can put money in on your way to the trails. I'm making this mandatory as there is no reason you can't drop a buck in the box. These trails are amazing.

Parking is free and there are restrooms by the parking lot.
