Itinerary:

For those of us on a holiday or just because - come for a hike to the lovely Amicalola Falls!  This is a relatively modest hike with about 1,040 ft of elevation gain, and we will keep a moderate, but steady pace with a few brief stops.  We will stop at the Len Foote Inn for a snack/lunch break as well as a restroom break.

The Inn does not serve lunch to day hikers but sometimes have some dessert or fruit that you can take in exchange for tips to the Inn’s staff.  This is not a guarantee, so be sure to bring your own lunch.  They will have hot water, tea bags, and other drinks that you can pay for with tips.  Also, pack out all trash brought in.

During the second half, we may take a side trip to Cochran Falls, which will add about 3/4th mile to our hike.  There is a possibility that a small part of trail to the top of the falls may be overgrown, but it's worth the effort to view the falls.

Restrooms are available at the start of the trail.

There is a $5 Amicalola Falls State Park Fee unless you display an annual pass.

Currently, the weather is forecasted to be mostly sunny and reaching the low 50's.
