Itinerary:

Come join us for our second bike ride of the day... We'll be biking the Alpharetta Section of the Big Creek Greenway.

The Greenway is primarily a 12-foot wide concrete path that meanders through the deciduous woods along Big Creek. It offers an ideal setting for walking, jogging, inline roller blading, and biking. The trail is approximately 8 miles in length. We'll be biking in and out for a total of 16 miles.

Speed limit on the Alpharetta Greenway is 10 MPH.

We normally ride around 10-12 MPH depending on the group and traffic on the Greenway.

IMPORTANT NOTE(s):

  • YOU are responsible for your bike maintenance or repairs on the trail.
  • All levels of riding ability and all types of bikes are welcome.
  • Bike Helmet is REQUIRED! (No helmet, no ride)

Required Items to Bring:
  • Bike (All types are welcome)
  • Helmet is REQUIRED!
  • Water
  • Spare tire tube
  • Tool(s) for removing your wheel (for those who do not have quick-release wheels)
Recommended Items to Bring:

US-19 N

- Head northeast on US-19 N
- Take exit 11 for Windward Pkwy toward Alpharetta
- Turn right onto Windward Pkwy
- Turn right onto Marconi Dr

The parking lot will be on your left

Notes:

You MUST be able to perform your own bike maintenance should you have any mechanical issues.

It's always a good idea to do some pre-bike maintenance before you begin the ride to make sure everything is functioning properly.  Recommended to do this prior to the event, so we aren't waiting on you prior to a group ride.
