Itinerary:

Enjoy this sunny Sunday morning ride starting at the beginning of the Silver Comet Trail on Mavell Rd. We will ride to Hiram at a moderate pace, where we will stop for a drink/snack break and turn around to complete 30 mi. round trip.

Homer Leggett Park is next to the trailhead and has nice restrooms, water and covered picnic tables. An original train caboose is located in the trailhead parking lot, and serves as a Sheriff station for the deputies that patrol the trail.

Notes: (1) You MUST wear a helmet.
           (2) We are all responsible for our own trail repairs and maintenance.
           (3) Arrive early in case it is difficult to locate parking.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

* Take I-285 to Exit 15 (South Cobb Drive / Hwy. 280/Smyrna)
* Take South Cobb Drive North (outside the perimeter)
* Go approximately 1.8 miles on South Cobb Drive to Cooper Lake Rd (5th red light from        I-285)
* Turn left onto Cooper Lake Road
* Go approximately .6 miles and turn left on Mavell Road.
* Trailhead is at the end of Mavell Road, past Nickajack Elementary School.

Note:  You may have to park at the elementary school.
