Itinerary:

Thanks to our friends in "BRAG", Bicycle Ride Across Georgia, for inviting the AOC to participate in their big annual Fall Bike Fest in Columbus GA!

It will be 3 days of riding, camping, local entertainment, white water rafting, s’mores, plenty of opportunities to hang out with friends new and old, and local HAPPY HOUR Friday and Saturday!! As if this isn’t inviting enough, Columbus offers many avenues of entertainment at local restaurants, as well as the world-class Infantry Museum at Ft. Benning (on Sunday's bike route), the Civil War Naval Museum, and the Coca-Cola Science Museum which are also on Sunday's bike route. All these venues of entertainment are not far from camp.

Did I mention local Happy Hour Friday and Saturday
within walking distance of camp?

BRAG will be designating an area for AOC members to camp together.  We will tent camp right on the Chattahoochee River in a beautiful downtown park, 2 blocks from restaurants and pubs.  Yes, you can sleep in your car near the tent campers!

Wow! You say “I’m sold!” Well, wait, there’s more! BRAG offers 3 days of road cycling, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with options of 10 miles to a 100 mile century ride on Saturday.  There'll be hot private showers at camp and great rest stops every 15 miles on the road.

Can’t make all 3 days? Can’t ride for 3 days and not walk funny? That’s no problem! You’re open to choose your days accordingly as you find what works best for you!

The Itinerary:

Friday, 10/10.  The Lake Oliver Ride, 49 miles, or 36, or 10 miles.  Go north on the North Riverwalk Path to Lake Oliver, then cover northern Muscogee and Harris Counties from west to east, and return via the Fall Line Trace to Columbus.

Sunday, 10/12, The Hooah Ride, 41 miles, 27, or 16 miles.  Ride the beautiful South Riverwalk Path from Columbus to Ft.
