Itinerary:

The Big Tree Forest Preserve is a nice 1.2-mile nature trail in the Sandy Springs community. The trail is a mulch and dirt trail with mild slopes. There are many rocks along the stream that parallels the hiking trail and add to the wonderful landscapes at Big Trees.

This nature trail is a perfect trail for beginning hikers and those who just want a leisurely hike. The weather Saturday morning is expected to be mild with temperaturesaround 37 degrees and reaching 54 degrees by mid-day. With this in mind, we will want start our 3-mile hike promptly at 8:00 am, so that we will complete our hike by 9:00 am. Since this is a small trail, we will move at a moderate pace and loop the trail a couple of times to complete our one hour hike. I look forward to hiking with everyone!
