Write Up:
It turned out to be a very pretty day for this vigorous hike.  This was one of the less remarkable sections of the trail, with no grand vistas, but a surprising amount of nice winter views through the trees throughout (see pics).

We had a very strong group that polished off this section with no problem...we all went at our own pace, but the back of the group finished in just under six hours...14.6 miles and 2600 feet of total ascent...a good day on the trail .
